This is the agedashi tufo in some sort of spicy saucey juice. When they brought out the dish, the bonito flakes on top were waving at us, inviting us to feast on them. "Eat me! Eat me!" they insisted. So I did. At the top of the picture you can see the crispy curried chicken. These were sooo good, there was a peanut dipping sauce.
Say hello to Taco Shimi. This was just too good. Seared ahi, avocado, shitake mushrooms, some sort of amazing sauce, really good salad with yummy dressing. So good.
After dinner we went to the nyudie bar next door, and got Anne a lap dance. OK, so we didn't do that...this time. We went across the street to Largo at the Coronet Theater where Maya Rudolph and Fred Armisen were giving a performance that was written by Paul Thomas Anderson and included music by Jon Brion (which we had just seen at Largo the previous week, but I haven't had a chance to write about it).
Nyuni, I'm so glad this creepy threesome got to spend some time together. Perhaps Cizzle can take some time out of his busy schedule and join us soon enough.
