PWOTD: Doost

This being the first PWOTD (Persian Word of The Day), I wanted to let everyone know that I will take requests. So if there's a word you want to know, or want the world to know, just put it in the comment section.

DOOST
Definition: Friend

Katy va Cary doost hastan = Katy and Cary are friends.
Doost-eh man hastee = you are my friend/you are a friend of mine.
Doost-eh sam-meemee= best friend/ best of friends
Cary yek doost-eh sam-meemee dareh = Cary has one best friend.

Happy Birthday, Daily Ruby

Yup, its been a whole year! At 231 posts, I'm pretty pleased with how things turned out. This is the most consistent I've ever been at anything for this period of time. Not mention the fact that I have a pretty detailed journal of 2008. Every time I look through the archives I remember all the good times and none of the bad. That's the way things should be.

I have a feeling that 2009 will be a VERY blogworthy year. Stay tuned.

Per a request by Cary, I will offer a Persian Word of The Day to interested readers. He had asked that I give him a PWOTD in 2009, but why not share it with the world wide web. The first word will start tomorrow my friends.
