Something I've come to appreciate and understand the more I learn about about Dr. King, is that a lot of what he said is timeless and can be applied to everyday life. Even though his life is most famous for his civil rights efforts, there are things he wrote and said that are worth taking to heart no matter who you are or where you are in your life. Here are a few that affected me:

He was/is a great American.
